Wonder Reef is the world's first buoyant, artistically designed artificial reef — soaring 22 metres above the sea floor about 2.5 km off the Gold Coast shoreline near Main Beach. This innovative man-made marine sanctuary features sculptural modules, swim-through arches, and flourishing coral growth that has transformed it into a vibrant fish-aggregating structure. Unlike a natural reef, its towering columns rise from 30 m depth to within 8 m of the surface, creating a dramatic underwater landscape for snorkelers and divers alike.

Wonder Reef is located approximately 2.5 km off Main Beach, Gold Coast. Access is via permitted dive tour operators departing from Mariners Cove Marina (60 Seaworld Dr, Main Beach) or via booking the public mooring with a Wonder Reef permit and a private vessel.
