Whalers Reef is a shallow limestone reef lying off Whalers Point in Portland Bay on Victoria's Discovery Coast. Ranging from 4–10 m deep, this sheltered reef is a favourite for snorkelers and beginner divers seeking easy exploration of rocky ledges, crevices, and kelp-covered substrate. The bay's clear waters on calm days reveal abundant fish life, with the reef's gentle topography making it an ideal orientation dive. Access is exclusively by boat from Portland Harbour, and the site rewards those who time their visit with light northerly winds and low swell.
