Tryon Island Reef surrounds a pristine coral cay in the southern Great Barrier Reef, part of the Capricornia Cays National Park. This protected, uninhabited cay is ringed by a fringing coral reef that is partially exposed at low tide, offering clear, shallow waters ideal for snorkeling. The reef system supports vibrant coral gardens and diverse marine life, set against the backdrop of a remote, white-sand cay. Access is by boat only, and the island itself is closed to landing for conservation, making the surrounding reef a pristine snorkel destination.
