The Wall is a renowned offshore reef dive site sitting off Port Macquarie on the NSW Mid North Coast. Built around a dramatic vertical reef structure, the wall drops from 16 metres at its upper edge down to 26 metres on a sandy seabed, offering multi-level topography dense with vibrant sponge gardens, gorgonian fans, sea whips, and ascidian cover. It's one of the most reliable local sites for grey nurse shark aggregations (May–October), with wobbegong sharks tucked under ledges and Port Jackson sharks resting in gutters at the base. Schools of kingfish, snapper, jewfish, and eastern blue gropers patrol the structure, while macro life — nudibranchs, cuttlefish, octopus, and moray eels — rewards careful exploration of every crevice and overhang.
