The Monument is a renowned dive and snorkel site off the north-east coast of Tasmania, marked by a dramatic rocky pinnacle that rises from the seafloor near the edge of a deep wall. Known for strong tidal currents that sweep around the formation, it attracts experienced snorkellers and divers who are rewarded with encounters with seahorses, cuttlefish, and octopus amid vibrant temperate reefs. The site is often combined with a visit to nearby Cathedral Caves, making it a striking part of Tasmania's wild underwater landscape.
