The FV Lena is a former commercial fishing vessel scuttled in 2003 to create an artificial reef 3 nautical miles off Bunbury in the Southwest Capes region. Sitting upright in 17–18 metres of water, the wreck offers massive swim-throughs and an open engine room with the original motors still visible. Over two decades underwater, the steel hull has become a thriving reef system encrusted with colourful sponges, soft corals and kelp, attracting schools of fish and making it one of Western Australia's premier wreck snorkel and dive sites for those with open-water certification.

Moderate risk: Swell and wind exposure
The wreck lies in open water and is best dived in low winds and light swell. Winds pick up quickly in the Southwest Capes region, creating choppy surface conditions.
Moderate risk: Depth hazard
The wreck sits at 18 metres, well beyond snorkelling depth limits. Intended for certified divers; snorkelers must stay at the surface.
Low risk: Strong currents
Open-ocean currents can run around the wreck, particularly during tidal changes. Requires good buoyancy control.
Low risk: Boat traffic
Located 3 nautical miles offshore, the site is accessed by charter boat. Surface awareness is needed to avoid boat traffic.
