The Knob is a sheltered, sandy beach tucked into the Franklin Harbour coastline about 13 km south of Cowell on South Australia's Eyre Peninsula. Backed by rolling dunes and bordered by rocky outcrops, this quiet stretch offers calm, shallow waters ideal for a relaxed snorkel. The beach sits within a scenic camping and picnic area where you might spot dolphins playing offshore while you explore the sandy bottom and rocky reef edges for rays, sea stars, and small reef fish.
