The Drum is a dramatic offshore rock formation rising from the sea off Currarong, near the southern headland of Jervis Bay on the NSW South Coast. Named for its drum-like shape, this iconic site is surrounded by smaller "Drumstick" rocks, creating a labyrinth of underwater caves, swim-throughs, and a large cavern on the north side (14–17 m depth). Part of the Jervis Bay Marine Park, it offers exceptional reef diving and snorkeling with deep gorgonian corals, sponges, and the chance to swim with curious Australian fur seals that frequent the area. The adjacent wreck of the TSS Wandra (1915) adds historical intrigue nearby.

Low risk: Strong currents
Tidal currents around the rock formation can be strong, especially near the north-east side where the best reef lies.
Low risk: Cold water temperatures
Water temperature averages 18°C in summer and can drop to 13°C in winter. Wetsuit (5 mm+) required year-round.
