This sheltered site lies just inside the northern headland, where dramatic sandstone walls plunge into clear temperate waters, honeycombed with ledges, swim-throughs and small caverns to explore. The rocky reef is blanketed in colourful sponge gardens with gorgonians, sea tulips and bryozoans, while the sandy gutters between the boulders hide stingarees and flatheads. The site's resident eastern blue groper — the state fish of NSW — is famously cheeky and will often swim right up to snorkellers looking for a handout. Grey nurse sharks, wobbegongs, blue devil fish and big stingrays are regularly spotted. With depths ranging from 5–21m, it works well for both snorkellers hugging the reef top and divers descending the walls.","intermediate",null,"published",{"name":59,"amplitude":75,"phase":91,"latitude":22,"model":107,"epoch":108},[60,61,62,63,64,65,66,67,68,69,70,71,72,73,74],"2N2","J1","K1","K2","M2","M4","MF","MM","N2","O1","P1","Q1","S1","S2","T2",[76,77,78,79,80,81,82,83,84,85,86,87,88,89,90],0.02179936923366872,0.008108643440210596,0.16467834018048147,0.03908546748539306,0.47906687450886065,0.0028294128095848483,0.0014664568359884418,0.008745706201863844,0.10910621911391011,0.09131652929049362,0.051737768922892405,0.017891681692846786,0.004415415486437153,0.10529394528061595,0.004571430855962663,[92,93,94,95,96,97,98,99,100,101,102,103,104,105,106],271.67663385802064,6.509149869757808,323.7014830065547,315.81050451711656,308.36559739379334,266.1265179545321,93.4913195288801,34.15419660949305,299.2421827731985,290.7871345098189,313.81292484966644,282.8818477772631,145.50590626105188,325.37558544160504,349.1245937569273,"EOT20","1992-01-01T00:00:00Z",[110,114,117],{"name":111,"description":112,"severity":113,"season_start":56,"season_end":56},"Boat traffic","The Docks is accessed by boat and lies near the shipping channel inside Jervis Bay heads.
