The Caves is a premier snorkeling and dive site within the Jew Shoal reef complex off Noosa on the Sunshine Coast. This offshore reef features rugged rocky outcrops, large swim-through caverns, and a series of bommies (isolated reefs) starting at 12 m and dropping to 17 m. The gutters are carpeted with colourful hard and soft corals. Snorkelers drift through canyon-like passages surrounded by angelfish, butterflyfish, surgeonfish, and an incredible diversity of invertebrates including sea stars, feather stars, and over 100 varieties of nudibranchs.
