Swan Island is a 239-hectare granite island in Banks Strait off Tasmania's north-east coast, forming part of the Waterhouse Island Group. This remote private island offers pristine waters rich with marine life, sheltered granite coves, and excellent snorkeling conditions on calm days. With no crowds, clear Bass Strait waters, and abundant seabird colonies, it provides a truly wild and secluded snorkeling escape. Getting in
Swan Island is a private island in the Waterhouse Island Group, located in Banks Strait off the north-east coast of Tasmania. Access is by private boat or charter from Bridport or other nearby launching points on the Tasmanian mainland. The island is not open to the general public and requires prior arrangement for accommodation or visitation.
