Statue Bay is a sheltered, rocky cove on the Capricorn Coast, just south of Yeppoon, offering easy shore-entry snorkelling over low-tide rock flats and fringing reef. The coarse sand and cobble beach gives way to shallow rocky reefs teeming with hard corals, colourful reef fish, and the occasional turtle — all within a few metres of the shore. Part of the Southern Great Barrier Reef region, this quiet spot provides a relaxed alternative to the busier island snorkel sites, with calm conditions prevailing on most days.
