St Georges Beach, on the Bluff Point peninsula just north of Geraldton, is a sheltered, family-friendly beach known for its shallow, seagrass-covered calcarenite reef that extends up to 1 km offshore, creating very low wave conditions ideal for beginner snorkelers and stand-up paddlers. The protected waters also make it a favoured spot for windsurfing and kiteboarding beginners. A 15-minute walk from the Geraldton Foreshore, the beach offers calm turquoise waters over sandy patches and reef flats, perfect for spotting small reef fish and exploring the limestone reef system in peace.

Low risk: Shallow reef and seagrass
Extensive shallow calcarenite reef and seagrass beds lie just below the surface, requiring care when wading to avoid cuts or tripping.
Low risk: Low visibility after wind
Onshore winds can stir up sand and seagrass debris, reducing snorkeling visibility in the shallow protected waters.
