The spot

Community-maintained

Community contribution: submitted by Daniel

Sheltered deep within Spring Bay on Tasmania's east coast, Triabunna offers calm, protected waters ideal for snorkelling. The bay is fringed by sandy beaches, coastal reserves, and eucalyptus forests, with easy shore access. Its quiet estuary-like setting provides a safe, beginner-friendly environment to explore seagrass beds and rocky reef edges, all within striking distance of the famous Maria Island marine reserve just offshore. The water is cool and clear, with rich temperate marine life typical of Tasmania's east coast.
