Sperm Whale Head, also known as Point Wilson, is a serene peninsula protruding into Lake Victoria within The Lakes National Park, Gippsland. The site offers shore-entry snorkelling along sandy and seagrass-fringed shores with calm, shallow waters sheltered from ocean swell. Its parkland setting with picnic shelters, BBQs, and toilets makes it a relaxed spot for a paddle and snorkel. The unusual name comes from its distinctive square-shaped headland, reminiscent of a sperm whale's profile — a quirky landmark on the Gippsland Lakes system.
