Nestled between North Coogee and South Fremantle, South Beach is a calm, family-friendly stretch of white sand backed by rolling green lawns and towering Norfolk Island pines. The sheltered waters inside the sailing boat harbour groyne offer a relaxed snorkel along rocky edges where small reef fish gather. With a full-size basketball court, playground, cafes, and the historic South Beach Hotel just across Wilson Park, it's a favourite local hangout for a leisurely dip and beachside barbecue.
