Snapper Rocks is a renowned rocky headland and point break at the southern end of Coolangatta Beach on the Gold Coast, straddling the NSW/QLD border near Point Danger. The area features a protected rocky shoreline with shallow gutters and tidal pools that offer calm snorkeling conditions on the lee side when the swell is low. Adjacent to the famous Snapper Rocks surfing break (part of the Superbank), the sheltered eastern side provides a unique contrast — clear waters over sandstone reef habitat just metres from one of Australia's most iconic surf zones. The rocks are easily accessible from the beach or the adjacent parkland.
