Shipwreck Creek sits within Croajingolong National Park on Victoria's far east coast, near Mallacoota. A shallow creek meets a wide 350-metre surf beach backed by tall eucalypts. The northern end features a finger of submerged reef that creates interesting snorkelling terrain in the clear, cool waters. The sheltered creek mouth provides calm paddling conditions, while the open beach offers a wilder experience with wave action over sandy and rocky substrates. This secluded spot rewards those who venture off the beaten track.
