Separation Point – known locally as "Seppos" – is a popular snorkeling and swimming spot just south of Geraldton's city centre. The point creates a sheltered pocket of water where a fringing reef meets sandy patches, offering calm conditions ideal for exploring the shallows. A mix of limestone reef platforms, rocky outcrops, and seagrass beds provides habitat for a variety of small reef fish. The historic Separation Point lighthouse overlooks the beach, and the area is favoured by locals for its easy access from the foreshore. Best snorkeled on a calm, high-tide day when water clarity is at its peak.
