Sensation Beach is a secluded stretch of sand on the south coast of Yorke Peninsula, South Australia, near the southern tip. Backed by low dunes and native coastal scrub, this remote beach offers a wild, exposed snorkeling experience with rocky headlands at either end that create small reef patches teeming with temperate marine life. The Southern Ocean swells roll in unrestricted, making conditions highly variable. Best attempted on calm, low-wind days when the water clears, Sensation Beach rewards adventurous snorkelers with solitude and a raw, untamed underwater environment.
