Secret Harbour is a laid-back coastal suburb in Rockingham, south of Perth, known for its wide, patrolled surf beach. The beach features a sheltered reef system that comes alive at low tide, creating excellent snorkeling conditions among limestone rocks and sandy patches. With the Secret Harbour Surf Lifesaving Club overlooking the scene, it's a family-friendly spot where beginner and intermediate snorkelers can explore calm inshore waters teeming with small reef fish. The adjacent beachside park with BBQ facilities makes it a perfect day-out destination.

Moderate risk: Surf and rips
Powerful surf waves and rip currents can develop, particularly on windy days or during swell events. Swim between the red and yellow flags during patrol hours.
Low risk: Low tide reef exposure
The reef in the snorkeling area is shallow. At dead low tide, parts of the reef are exposed and water depth may be too shallow for safe snorkeling.
Low risk: Summer crowds
Popular on weekends with 770-space carpark filling quickly. Congestion near the surf club entry/exit points.
