Seahorse Gardens is a sheltered shore-dive site off Fly Point in Nelson Bay, within the Port Stephens area of the NSW Central Coast. This sandy-bottom reef characterised by outcrops of giant cauliflower soft corals, sponges, and seagrass is a critter-spotter's paradise. True to its name, White's Seahorses (Hippocampus whitei) are the star attraction, hiding among the coral branches alongside anglerfish, nudibranchs, basket stars, decorator crabs, and colourful cowries. The relatively shallow depth (8-10m) and protected bay setting make it an accessible spot for intermediate snorkellers, though visibility is best around high tide with a height above 1.4m.
