Tucked within Murramarang National Park on the NSW South Coast, Richmond Beach is a secluded gem accessible via a short 50-metre walking track from the carpark. Surrounded by shady forests and sparkling blue waters, this sheltered beach offers protection from most onshore winds, making it ideal for family days out. Snorkellers can explore the clear shallows along the shoreline, while the surrounding Murramarang headlands provide a stunning backdrop. With over 90 species of birdlife spotted in the area, including gannets and sooty oystercatchers, the beach is as rewarding above the water as it is below.

Getting in
Richmond Beach is in the southern precinct of Murramarang National Park, NSW South Coast. From Batemans Bay, head south along the Princes Highway and follow signs to Murramarang National Park / Richmond Beach.
Parking is available at Richmond Beach carpark, just 50m from the beach via an easy walking track.
$8 per vehicle per day park entry fee. Pay machines accept cash and credit cards (card only at Pretty Beach).
