Moderate risk: Remote offshore location
Situated on Great Glennie Island in the Glennie Group, far from emergency services. Requires boat access and self-sufficiency.
Moderate risk: Variable weather and sea conditions
Exposed to open ocean conditions; swells and wind shifts can change rapidly. Best dived in south-easterly winds.
Moderate risk: Depth hazards
Rocks slope to 20 m; deeper drop-offs and overhead cave/swim-through environments present entanglement and entrapment risks.
Low risk: Strong currents
Tidal currents around the island group can be strong, especially around rock formations.
