Stretching roughly 80 km from Point Quobba to Red Bluff, the Quobba Station coastline offers wild, remote snorkelling along Western Australia's Coral Coast. The standout spot is 'The Aquarium' — a protected natural rock lagoon near Point Quobba where crystal-clear waters teem with tropical fish, ideal for beginners. Snorkellers can also explore the dramatic Blowholes area where surf surges through limestone crevices, and the many sandy coves south of the point. This is raw, uncrowded ocean with spectacular limestone cliff scenery, part of a working pastoral station.

High risk: Big waves at adjacent Blowholes
The nearby Blowholes area experiences extremely large, powerful waves that have been known to be deadly. Stay within the sheltered lagoon and never venture onto the exposed rock platforms in rough conditions.
Moderate risk: Ocean swell and surf
The exposed coastline can experience large swells and strong wave action, especially outside the sheltered lagoon areas. Dangerous at high surf.
Moderate risk: Remote location
Limited mobile reception, no lifeguards, and long distances to medical facilities. Snorkellers must be self-sufficient.
Low risk: Sharp limestone and coral
Sharp limestone reef edges and coral outcrops in the intertidal zone can cause cuts and scrapes. Protective footwear recommended.
Low risk: Shark presence
This remote coastline is within known shark habitat; caution advised, particularly in deeper water away from the lagoon.
Low risk: Low tide access
Snorkeling conditions are best at high tide; at low tide the water can be very shallow over the reef, reducing visibility and access to the best areas.
Low risk: Sharp coral and reef
The lagoon floor contains live coral and rocky reef — reef shoes are recommended to avoid cuts and stings.
