Gem Pier (Queenscliff Jetty) extends into the protected waters of Port Phillip Heads on the Bellarine Peninsula, offering a shallow, snorkel-friendly environment around its historic timber piles. The jetty's structures are encrusted with sponges, ascidians and kelp, attracting schools of reef fish, rays and the occasional Port Jackson shark. Its calm inner harbour conditions make it a reliable choice for a quick inlet snorkel, with easy access from the adjacent car park and Queenscliff’s historic township just steps away.
