Tucked away near the coastal town of Mallacoota in East Gippsland, Quarry Beach is a sheltered, crescent-shaped beach named after a disused gravel quarry that once operated here. Backed by low scrub and spotted gum forest, the beach offers clear, calm waters protected from the prevailing swell, making it ideal for swimming and snorkeling. Rocky headlands frame both ends of the beach, and the shallow sandy bottom gradually deepens, with patches of reef and seagrass attracting a variety of fish and marine life. It's a quieter alternative to the more popular Mallacoota beaches, valued for its peaceful atmosphere and natural surrounds.
