Pot Alley Beach is a stunningly scenic ocean gorge tucked into the rugged red coastal cliffs of Kalbarri National Park. The beach features powdery white sand framed by dramatic weathered rock formations and small hideaway caves. Crystal-clear turquoise waters roll in from the Indian Ocean, offering decent visibility for snorkeling when conditions are calm. The sheltered bay-like setting among the colorful Z-Bend cliffs creates an intimate and photogenic snorkel spot, though the sea can be rough and unpredictable — best visited on a flat, calm day with minimal swell.

Moderate risk: Rough surf and powerful waves
The open Indian Ocean exposure means waves can be strong and unpredictable, making snorkeling dangerous in any swell.
Moderate risk: Strong rips and currents
Coastal gorge topography can create swirling currents and rip flows, particularly on an outgoing tide.
Low risk: Limited beach access
Steep trail descent with rock-hopping and steps; exposed cliff edges near the access path.
