Point Maud is the northern headland of Bill's Bay in Coral Bay, Western Australia, marking the boundary of a sanctuary zone within the Ningaloo Marine Park. Snorkelers follow the sandy beach 500 m south from the car park to access the reef edge, where spur-and-groove coral formations drop into deeper water. This all-tide snorkel site rewards moderate-to-fit swimmers with clear waters, healthy coral bommies, and regular encounters with turtles, rays, and reef sharks. The point itself is a rocky platform popular for beach walks and birdwatching at low tide.

Low risk: Drift currents
Moderate alongshore currents can develop, especially on the incoming tide, creating a drift snorkel situation. Snorkelers need reasonable fitness to swim back against the flow.
Low risk: Sharp reef and rock platforms
The rocky intertidal platform at Point Maud and the coral bommies can cause cuts if swimmers lose footing or are pushed against the reef by swell.
