The Piper Islands are a pristine group of five low-lying, vegetated coral cays on the inner northern Great Barrier Reef off Cape York Peninsula. Nestled in Temple Bay between Cape Grenville and Fair Cape, these remote islands are surrounded by fringing coral reefs and turquoise waters, offering exceptional snorkeling in a wholly undeveloped setting. The islands are a crucial breeding and roosting site for black noddies and other seabirds, and the surrounding reef teems with tropical fish, sea turtles, and coral gardens. One of the most secluded and untouched snorkeling destinations in far north Queensland.
