Nestled on Rottnest Island's northern shore with the iconic Bathurst Lighthouse as its backdrop, Pinky Beach offers a sheltered bay and shallow, undulating coral reef that's perfect for beginner snorkelers. The calm, turquoise waters reveal a vibrant underwater world of coral bommies and colourful reef fish just metres from shore. After your snorkel, watch the sunset sink into the Indian Ocean from the adjacent Pinky's Beach Club — an unforgettable end to a day on Wadjemup.

Pinky Beach is not patrolled by lifeguards — swim at your own risk.
Low risk: Timber steps access

Low risk: Vessel traffic
The bay sees boat traffic from nearby moorings and ferries — stay aware of vessels while snorkelling.

Getting in
From the Rottnest Island ferry terminal at Thomson Bay, follow the sealed path northeast past the settlement toward Bathurst Lighthouse. Pinky Beach is a 10-minute walk or short bike ride from the main settlement.
Limited bicycle parking is available near the beach entry point. Ferries from Fremantle, Hillarys, and Perth arrive at Thomson Bay — no private vehicles are permitted on Rottnest Island.
No entry fee, but visitors need a Rottnest Island ferry ticket (approx. $50–$80 return from Fremantle) and an island admission fee ($15–$20 per adult).
