Nestled within Wilsons Promontory Marine National Park, the southern flank of Picnic Bay offers a pristine snorkeling experience with crystal-clear waters and protected conditions on calm days. This shore-entry site is renowned for its diverse underwater terrain, featuring rocky reefs, seagrass beds, and sandy patches that support abundant marine life. Part of Victoria's premier marine park, the area is fully protected, allowing for encounters with colourful reef fish, rays, and occasional seals. The southern flank is particularly favoured over the northern side for its gentler conditions and excellent visibility.
