Paper Beach is a quiet, sheltered beach on the western shore of the Tamar River estuary, near Swan Point in North East Tasmania. Its calm, shallow waters and sandy entry make it a pleasant spot for a gentle snorkel, especially on warmer days when the estuary waters are clearer. Surrounded by low-key park facilities with barbecues and picnic tables, it offers a relaxed seaside escape between Launceston and George Town. The underwater terrain is chiefly sandy with scattered seagrass beds, providing habitat for temperate-water marine life typical of Tasmania's northern estuaries.
