Oaks Beach is a sheltered 200-metre pocket of golden sand tucked between rocky headlands at Burnett Heads, just 18 km northeast of Bundaberg. Its calm, protected waters — sheltered from the open Coral Sea by the South Head rock wall — make it a reliable spot for casual snorkelling, especially at mid-to-high tide when small reef patches and rocky gutters are submerged. The beach also serves as a protected turtle nesting habitat, adding a conservation-conscious atmosphere to this quiet, family-friendly stretch of Queensland's Wide Bay coast.
