Nursery Bommie is a spectacular coral pinnacle rising from 25 metres up to 16 metres on the Agincourt Reef system, about 60 km off Port Douglas. This isolated column of coral is draped in colourful sea whips, soft corals, and gorgonian fans, drawing marine life from all directions. Renowned as one of the Great Barrier Reef's top dive and snorkel sites, its nutrient-rich waters attract turtles, reef sharks, and prolific schools of fish. The bommie's vertical structure creates a dramatic underwater wall effect, making it a photographer's dream and a true highlight of the northern Great Barrier Reef.
