North West Solitary Island is a pristine offshore outcrop within the Solitary Islands Marine Park, 7 nautical miles from Wooli on the NSW North Coast. Sitting at the convergence of warm tropical currents from the north and cooler southern waters, its protected bays and coves boast crystal-clear water, abundant coral gardens, and a stunning blend of tropical and temperate marine life. Part of the southernmost expression of the Great Barrier Reef system, this island offers exceptional snorkelling for all levels amid a sanctuary zone teeming with biodiversity — from anemonefish to grey nurse sharks.

Getting in
North West Solitary Island is located approximately 7 nautical miles (13 km) offshore from Wooli, NSW. Access is by private boat or via charter snorkel tours departing from Wooli or Coffs Harbour marinas.
Park at the Wooli boat ramp area or at Coffs Harbour Marina parking lots (fees may apply at Coffs Harbour).
Charter tour costs vary; no landing fee for the island itself. The island is within the Solitary Islands Marine Park — all marine park regulations apply.
