North Beach, in Perth's northern suburbs, offers a relaxed shore-entry snorkel along a sandy beach fringed by limestone reef. The refurbished 22-metre jetty is a focal point, attracting schools of fish around its jarrah piles. Located within the Marmion Marine Park, the protected inshore waters are often calm and clear, providing easy access to rocky reef ledges, swim-throughs, and sandy patches that teem with small reef fish. Perfect for a quick after-work dip or a weekend family outing.

Low risk: Strong southwest swell
Swell from the southwest can create strong shore breaks and rip currents, especially on windy days.
Low risk: Rip currents near reef
The limestone reef can channel rip currents; stay aware of tidal movement and surf conditions.
Low risk: Rocky reef edges
Sharp limestone reef edges are exposed at low tide; wear reef shoes to avoid cuts.
