Naracoopa Beach curves gracefully along Sea Elephant Bay on King Island's east coast, halfway between Victoria and Tasmania in Bass Strait. This exposed 900-metre stretch of golden sand is backed by low dunes and fronted by continuous rock flats and reef platforms extending 100 metres offshore. The calm, protected waters near the iconic Naracoopa Jetty offer good shore-entry snorkeling around rocky reef edges, while sunrise over the bay is simply spectacular. The beach's isolation and clean Bass Strait waters make it a peaceful alternative to busier mainland spots.
