Known locally as The Pillars, this hidden pocket of coastline below Deakin Drive offers stunning turquoise water framed by striking sandstone cliffs that feel like a slice of Mediterranean paradise on the Mornington Peninsula. Accessed via a steep, unmarked path down the escarpment, the sheltered cove has crystal-clear waters perfect for snorkeling, with a dramatic backdrop of sculpted rock pillars. Its secluded nature and lack of signage keep crowds smaller than other peninsula beaches, rewarding those who make the effort with a truly special swimming and snorkeling experience just an hour from Melbourne.
