Burdoo Way is a peaceful shore-entry snorkel spot along Mount Martha's 8 km stretch of low-cliff coastline on the Mornington Peninsula, with shallow depths of 3–5 metres. Accessed via a walking track down a creek gully, this sheltered bay offers calm, protected waters with sandy seabeds and seagrass patches. It's a favourite for spotting stingrays gliding across the sandy floor, and the surrounding bushland-meets-coast scenery makes it a scenic escape from busier beaches. The site sits midway between Balcombe Point and Martha Point, providing a quiet alternative for snorkelers looking to explore the subtidal life of Port Phillip Bay.

Low risk: Steep track access
Burdoo Way is accessed via a steep walking track down a creek gully. The track can be slippery after rain and requires care when carrying snorkel gear.
Low risk: Unstable cliff edges
Low cliffs border the coastline; avoid entering or exiting at points other than the established gully track.
Low risk: Tidal currents
Tidal currents can affect the shallow 3–5 m zone. Check tide times before entering, especially as the tide changes over the sandy flats.
