Tucked between St Helens and Binalong Bay on Tasmania's spectacular East Coast, Moulting Bay is a calm, sheltered inlet that opens onto the famous Bay of Fires coastline. With crystal-clear temperate waters and sandy-bottomed shallows, this quiet spot offers a peaceful snorkeling experience away from busier tourist hubs. The adjacent campground and day-parking area make it easy to access, while a coastal walking track leads around the bay toward Humbug Point and Dora Point, revealing rocky edges and sandy stretches that hold underwater interest. Popular with families, birdwatchers, and kayakers, Moulting Bay provides gentle conditions ideal for a relaxed dip in some of Tasmania's cleanest coastal waters.
