Tucked beneath the red-rock cliffs of Mornington Park, Mothers Beach is a north-facing, sheltered pocket of Port Phillip that lives up to its family-friendly name. The Mornington Pier wraps around the eastern edge, keeping the water flat and calm, while soft golden sand shelves gently into crystal-clear shallows — perfect for wading, stand-up paddleboarding, or simply floating while taking in views across the bay to Mt Eliza. Zayak sea sleds and reef boards are available for hire from the boat shed, and the Schnapper Point Kiosk sits right at the pier head for post-swim refreshments.
