Tucked into the rocky headland at the northern end of Malua Bay, Mosquito Bay is a sheltered cobblestone cove with a concrete boat ramp and calm, clear shallows that open onto productive reef habitat. The 60-metre east-facing beach is backed by low coastal scrub, while the rocky points on either side create a protected pocket ideal for beginner to intermediate snorkelers. Part of the Batemans Marine Park, the bay offers easy shore entry over cobbles and quick access to rocky gutters and boulder gardens teeming with temperate reef life.

Know before you go

Logged by the community, confirmed by mods

  • Low risk: Cobble beach entry

Loose cobblestones at the water's edge can be slippery and unstable underfoot.

  • Low risk: Boat traffic

Concrete boat ramp in the bay means occasional vessel movement, especially on weekends.
