Moonta Bay Jetty & Swimming Enclosure on Yorke Peninsula is a family-friendly snorkel haven just two hours from Adelaide. The historic L-shaped jetty's weathered pylons are encrusted with colourful algae and sponges, creating artificial reef habitat in shallow 2–4 m waters. A netted swimming enclosure off the side offers safe, calm conditions for beginners, while the surrounding rocky reef and seagrass beds teem with crabs, nudibranchs, garfish, and the occasional sea horse, rays, pyjama squid, or harmless Port Jackson shark. Guided snorkel tours led by marine biologists make this an educational as well as scenic underwater adventure.
