Mooloolaba Beach is a snorkeler's paradise on Queensland's Sunshine Coast, offering calm, protected waters and easy shore access. The rocky headlands and the stretch between Mooloolaba and Alexandra Headland harbour vibrant reef life, colourful fish, and graceful sea turtles. The nearby Mooloolaba Rock Wall features surprisingly rich coral growth on the inside, while just 15 minutes offshore lies Mudjimba Island (Old Woman Island), a premier snorkel destination where turtles, wobbegong sharks, rays, and tropical reef fish abound. With its gentle conditions and convenient location steps from cafes and shops, Mooloolaba suits families and beginners while still rewarding experienced snorkelers exploring the deeper reef edges.
