Monument is a rocky reef snorkeling spot situated off the coast south of Sydney, near the Royal National Park coastline. The site takes its name from a prominent landmark along the escarpment and offers exposed ocean conditions with underwater boulders and kelp forests. This spot is best entered by boat or kayak from nearby launch points, as shore access is limited by rugged cliff terrain. Known locally among experienced snorkelers and divers, Monument rewards those who make the trip with clear oceanic water and encounters with schooling fish in the deeper reef channels.
