Minnie Water Beach Rockpools are a series of natural tidal rock pools nestled at the southern end of Minnie Water Beach within Yuraygir National Park, on the NSW North Coast. During low tide, protected pools form in the rocky headland, creating calm, crystal-clear basins perfect for safe snorkeling and swimming away from the open ocean swell. A protected lagoon also forms in the southern corner of the beach, offering additional sheltered waters. The surrounding coastal heath and dramatic rock platforms provide a stunning backdrop, making this a peaceful and uncrowded snorkeling spot for all ages.

Moderate risk: Rip currents
Like many beaches on this coast, rips can form near the sandbar and reef edges — swim between the patrolled flags in summer.
Low risk: Rocky terrain
Sharp oyster-covered rocks and uneven surfaces around the rockpools require care when entering and exiting the water.
Low risk: Tide dependency
The rockpools are only accessible and safe for swimming/snorkeling at low tide as they fill and empty with the tide.
Low risk: Surf zone at northern end
The northern half of the beach receives the full force of waves with a single attached sandbar, creating stronger surf conditions.
Low risk: Outgoing tide current near reef
The southern reef area can develop a current as the tide recedes, particularly around the lagoon channel.
