Middle Rock is a prominent granite outcrop and reef system in the waters off Albany, Western Australia, within King George Sound. This exposed rocky shelf creates a sheltered lee snorkeling environment on calm days, where clear southern-ocean waters reveal kelp forests, rocky crevices, and ledges teeming with marine life. The site is known among local divers and snorkelers for its dramatic underwater topography and proximity to deeper channels frequented by larger pelagic species. Accessed by boat, Middle Rock rewards those who make the trip with pristine water quality and a true wild-coast snorkeling experience away from the crowds.
