Mica Beach is a 400-metre east-facing sand beach on the western side of Darwin Harbour, near the small settlement of Mandorah on the Cox Peninsula. Backed by a low foredune with boulder rubble and 10-metre-high headlands at either end, this tranquil stretch of coastline offers calm, protected waters ideal for snorkelling. The beach sits within an area rich with WWII history, with remnants of fortifications along the shoreline, and the nearby Mandorah jetty is a popular fishing spot. Accessed by a scenic ferry ride from Darwin's Cullen Bay, Mica Beach provides a peaceful escape from the city with sweeping views back across Darwin Harbour.
