Nestled along the shores of Lake King in the Gippsland Lakes system, Metung's calm, protected swimming and snorkeling area offers crystal-clear, shallow waters ideal for a relaxed dip. Sheltered from the strong ocean tides of nearby Ninety Mile Beach by the lake system, this tranquil spot features a sandy lakeside beach on the edge of the village, with gentle currents and easy access right from the shore. The adjacent jetty and barbecue area make it a family-friendly destination for water play and sunset views over the lake.
